Summary: The Department of Finance and Economics invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the field of finance to begin in the fall semester of 2018. The holder of this position will teach primarily at the graduate level. In addition to teaching, the position requires both service and scholarship requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares and delivers course content to students in the MS in Finance, MBA, and undergraduate degree programs

  • Lead in course and curricula design

  • Participate in school and university governance

  • Serve on doctoral dissertation committees

  • Maintain academic and/or professional qualifications

  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • Have a doctorate (Ph.D./DBA) in finance or a related field.

  • Demonstrated record of success in teaching courses in the traditional classroom or online environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist a diverse, adult student population in reaching its learning objectives is of prime importance.

  • Consistent with Golden Gate's focus on professional practice education, the ideal candidate will have managerial experience in corporate finance, investment management, financial analysis and/or financial services and maintain active involvement in relevant professional associations.

  • A team player, the candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be motivated and self-directed to work in an unstructured environment.

  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with staff, colleagues and students.
