The primary purpose of the Wellness Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct wellness services and programs which support the interests and the physical, social, emotional, mental, vocational, and spiritual well-being of each resident and staff in our Continuum of Care.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have an associate degree in occupational therapy, therapy recreation or a NAAPA certification, or an equivalent education and work experience.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past 5 years, with experience in patient programs in a health care setting, preferably working with seniors.
• Preferred a degree in exercise science or Kinesiology.
• Two years of supervisory experience in related positions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey concepts and meet intended goals.
• Creative thinker with excellent organizational and time management skills
