A postdoctoral position is available immediately to join a multi-institutional NIH/NCI UG3/UH3 funded project ($2M, 5 years) developing novel perfusion phantom and image processing software for accurate DCE-MRI measurement of pancreatic cancer therapy response. This fellow will join the Quantitative Imaging Network (QIN) meeting at NCI annually. UAB medical research is ranked top 30 in the nation, and UAB cancer program is ranked top 23. UAB has cutting-edge clinical imaging devices and facilities including research-dedicated 3T MR scanners and a PET/MR scanner.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in clinical MRI and computer programing using LabVIEW, MATLAB, IDL, C or C++ for MR image processing and analysis. Experience in B1/T1 mapping and/or pharmacokinetic mapping will be considered strength. Candidates must have a proven track record of successful PhD training as demonstrated by first author publications and presentations in national/international conferences.
