Mechatronics is a part of the Engineering Technology program that focuses on the understanding of both electrical and mechanical components. 
Instructors and curriculum developers are needed to develop and instruct new classes including control systems (including PLC), Electronics, Pneumatics/Hydraulics, and Robotics.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Engineering or a Mechatronics related field.
  • Working knowledge of industrial direct and alternating current, electronics, mechanics, and industrial maintenance.
  • Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment and the ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • Master's degree, or equivalent degree in engineering or a Mechatronics related field.
  • Teaching experience at a community college.
  • Industry experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience teaching to Associate degree level students.

Additional Information

Work is typically performed in a classroom which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a personal computer in the work environment.
Salary is dependent upon contract load. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $4,290.04 per quarter.
