Job Summary

Manages and develops programs and/or courses. Provides training, skills development, and enrichment to the citizens of Tarrant County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in executing and/or managing special projects for the department
• Provides resource management to the department and briefs and informs Director
• Assists in the planning, developing, and promoting of ways to improve departmental programs
• Coordinates and cooperates with other administrators, staff, and District Human Resources
• Serves on committees as directed and attends appropriate professional meetings, conferences, and/or workshops
• Supports the Adult Basic Education (ABE) state grant funded learning centers
• Develops and supports workplace sites and campus based sites
• Assists with marketing and web page management
• Meets with community partners to discover grant opportunities
• Maintains a relationship with state representatives for grant funds
• May assist with coordination, management, and supervision of department employment activities including hiring, recruitment, training and payroll processing
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Five (5) years related experience
• Experience with computerized systems
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Master’s degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university
• Degree/coursework in Child Development, Counseling, College Student Personnel, Educational Administration, or related field

Special Instructions Summary

The individual selected for this position will report to the Project Director of the Child Care Access Means Parents in School Grant (CCAMPIS) and will be responsible for coordinating all activities and services related to the TCC Child Care Assistance Program. This will include, but is not limited to meeting with active and prospective student-parents to discuss childcare needs.

This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon renewal of grant funding.
