Associate Faculty Pool, Engineering Technology (PT Faculty)
We accept applications for part-time faculty positions on an ongoing basis. Typical requirements for part-time faculty in the Engineering Technology Department are listed below, along with a link to the department's web page. To be included in the part-time pool, please follow the application procedure below.

DESCRIPTION:   Engineering Technology focuses on a range of technologies that support industry. These include, Materials Science, Composites, Quality Sciences, Electronics, Robotics, and Manufacturing.  For further information about the Engineering Technology Department, please visit the department web page at http://www.edcc.edu/etec.


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent degree, in Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English. 
  • Master's degree, or equivalent degree, in engineering or a related field.
  • Teaching experience at a community college.
  • Experience teaching to Associate degree level students.
  • Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences and abilities.

Additional Information

Work is typically performed in a classroom and laboratory, which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a personal computer in the work environment.
Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A lecture class with two 2-hour lab meetings weekly is $5,817 per quarter.

  • This position is part of a bargaining unit subject to a collective bargaining agreement. 
  • Position is subject to a criminal background check.
