Job Summary

The College of Lake County is currently looking for Adjunct Faculty, Horticulture. The candidate will teach one or more courses in Horticulture.
The courses must be taught in accordance with current program approved course descriptions, course outlines, textbooks, and syllabi. Prepare lecture and lesson plans, teach lecture and/or lab portion of class, and respond to and grade student work. Use appropriate academic software (e.g. Blackboard Course Management system, Power Point, etc.)

Required Qualification

Baccalaureate degree in horticulture/agriculture or closely related field;
Baccalaureate degree and 2 years of tested experience
Associate degree and 5 years of tested experience

Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
