Job Summary

The Film Equipment Room Assistant will check out, return, clean and repair film department equipment.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Equipment room assistant must assist and aide the Equipment manager.
Assistant will be required to become familiar with equipment inventory and proper packaging, will need to learn the checkout system and assist with film students in checking and returning the equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Must repair and clean equipment. Knowledge of electronics, A/V equipment and cameras.

Minimum Qualifications

SLCC SACM student in good standing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Soldering, use of basic hand tools, ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Special Instructions

15-20 hours per week.
Federal Work Study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal Work Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office.
If you do not have work study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under workstudy positions.
