Valid Credential as an EMT or Paramedic (NC or National Registry), completion of EMS Methodology
Work Experience: 3 years of work experience as a Paramedic or EMT

4.Ability to adapt EMS curricula to reflect State requirements, local needs, and national trends.
5.Knowledge of the delivery of emergency medical services in the State of North Carolina
6.Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies.
7.Demonstrated teaching and educational facilitation skills.
8.Knowledge of competency-based education principles and methods.
9.Ability to assess student performance and progress and to provide appropriate feedback.
10.Ability to promote higher-order thinking and problem-solving among educational participants.
11.Ability to adhere to established standards for educational quality.
12.Ability to maintain complete, accurate educational records.
13.Knowledge of EMS educational program accreditation processes and standards.
14.Knowledge of State of North Carolina OEMS rules and regulations
1.Participates in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of EMS educational program offerings.
2.Prepares and delivers instruction either at the DTCC campus locations or off-site, as needed; supervises the activities of course participants during instructional time.
3.Evaluates learner performance, provides feedback, and develops learner remediation plans.
4.Fulfills EMS educational program administrative requirements, to include calculation and submission of grades, maintenance of program, course, and student/participant records, and preparation and submission of data and reports.
5.Participates in continuing professional development programs as appropriate.
6.Adheres to established College and departmental policies and procedures and relevant quality and safety standards.
7.Participates in activities that promote the EMS Program, to include student recruiting, and program marketing events, as appropriate.
8.May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Working Hours
A maximum of 29-hour work week in all roles combined, as determined with the supervisor to allow the employee to fulfill the assigned duties and responsibilities, including occasional evening and weekend hours
