The College of Nursing and Health Innovation (CONHI) at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), seeks applicants for tenured or tenure-track positions to teach and to conduct research in nursing and health care. We seek faculty members with outstanding qualifications who shares the University’s core values of high standards of excellence in innovative and collaborative research, combined with fostering an open and inclusive environment that promotes participation of underrepresented groups in research.
The College of Nursing and Health Innovation is particularly interested in recruiting innovative scientists who can make a significant contribution to the college’s overarching theme of programming and research in health and disease across the lifespan, with a focus on advancing health and the human condition. Ideal candidates will have a broad understanding and interest in interdisciplinary studies. Research on how social determinants of health affect the health of populations is valued. Relevant research backgrounds may include evaluation, health disparities, social determinants of health, and social and economic development among others. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their teaching, research and service. In addition, candidates in their early career must demonstrate strong potential to develop a research program supported by external funding, while more established candidates must demonstrate active, externally funded research agendas.
UTA seeks a nurse scientist with expertise in Clinical and Chronic Conditions, in areas of cardiovascular health, diabetes, pediatrics and/or mental health, preferred. The positions are open rank and will be in the Graduate Nursing Department and or Undergraduate Nursing Department.
Candidates with outstanding skills in nursing leadership, advanced practice nursing and/or patient outcomes will receive preference.
