Position Highlights |
The Printz Research Group in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead projects in the areas of developing materials and printing techniques for perovskite electronics. This is a critical research project to develop a rapid printing process for high-efficiency, low-cost solar cells. Duties & Responsibilities |
- The postdoc will take the lead in designing and conducting research on developing materials and printing techniques for perovskite electronics.
- The postdoc will be expected to correlate microstructure, chemical interactions, performance, and stability as determined by electronic characterization, XRD, SEM, AFM, PL, and FTIR.
- The postdoc will be expected to assist the PI in preparing papers, presentations, and proposals.
- Additional duties include setting up and optimizing new equipment as necessary, training/mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and ensuring that a culture of safety and collaborative research is instilled in the research group
- Specific characterization skills of interest include measuring
device efficiencies, mobilities, capacitance, and characterizing devices
and films via XRD, SEM, PL, and FTIR.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a self starter.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Must have Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience with perovskite solar cell device fabrication and characterization.

Preferred Qualifications |
The ideal candidate will have a background in perovskite electronics, as well as organic semiconductors and surface chemistry.
A track record of peer-reviewed publications in the above areas, preferably led by the applicant.
Experience with the design and fabrication of parts for experimental setups.
Experience writing successful federally funded grants. |
