Post-Doctoral Associate- Experimental High Energy Physics
Regular; Full-time
The experimental high energy physics group at the
University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position
working on the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The group is
actively involved in searches for physics beyond the Standard Model focusing on
long-lived and exotic particles and rare Higgs decays, as well as silicon
tracking for the High-Luminosity upgrade of the CMS detector.
The successful applicant will make significant
contributions to the development of the Level-1 Track Trigger for the HL-LHC
CMS upgrade, and will play a leading role in data analysis, working primarily
with Prof. Tova Holmes. They will also have the opportunity to work with
graduate and undergraduate students. Applicants should have a strong record of accomplishments
in data analysis, and interest or experience in detector R&D or
electronics.

Education:
PhD. conferred by December, 2020.
