Nutritional Sciences is seeking an energetic, well-organized, and highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct research in exercise immunology and cellular therapy in the laboratory of Dr. Simpson. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Conduct laboratory based research in the area of exercise immunology and cellular therapy under the direction of the laboratory group leaders. This includes performing hands on laboratory work, analyzing and interpreting data, delivering research presentations, preparing drafts for scientific manuscripts and generating data for grant applications and presentations provided by the laboratory group leaders.
- Train graduate students and other junior laboratory members.
- Perform administrative duties in the laboratory
as required. These include, but are not limited to, overseeing research
compliance protocols, equipment maintenance and the ordering and organization
of research supplies and materials.
- Demonstrated expertise in gamma delta T-cells and natural killer cells.
- Relevant peer reviewed publications.

Minimum Qualifications |
PhD
in Kinesiology with a focus on exercise immunology and/or cellular therapy |
Preferred Qualifications |
Experience performing cellular based assays of human immune function;
Experience performing stress tests in human subjects;
Experience with Multi-color flow cytometry;
Experience working with small animals especially immunocompromised mouse models;
Experience using tumor imaging technology in small animals;
Experience in delivering scientific presentations at major meetings;
