Tallahassee Community College is a dynamic and growing comprehensive community college located in Tallahassee, Florida—the College’s 2022 fall enrollment had more than 10,000 students. For over 55 years, TCC has served its three-county district of Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties providing pathways to economic mobility. The College enjoys a strong reputation for teaching excellence and producing graduates with associate in arts degrees, associate in science degrees, college credit certificates, and workforce-ready credentials.
 
Tallahassee is home to two state universities, Florida State University and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. TCC strategically partners with the universities to afford greater opportunities for all students, faculty, and surrounding communities. TCC also partners with area businesses and organizations to meet local workforce needs that align with the college’s degree, certificate, and workforce programs.
 
Faculty responsibilities include instruction, curriculum, service and support of college policies and procedures, and professional development. Starting salaries for instructional faculty positions are competitive and commensurate with degrees and experience.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in History, American Studies, European History or in a qualifying field or 18 graduate semester hours in History, American Studies, European History or in a qualifying field and a Master’s degree.

  • Applicants currently enrolled as graduate students who anticipate completing their course of study by May 31, 2024, are encouraged to apply but must submit from the dean of their school their current standing and anticipated program completion date in addition to the required documents listed above.

TEACHING NEEDS:
This position is primarily for in-person, on-campus courses taught a variation of days (Monday through Friday) on Main Campus in Tallahassee, Florida.
 
Courses needed are time blocks during the morning, mid-day, and afternoon. A small amount of evening options may also be available.
