Position Summary:

A new NIH-funded position is available in the lab of Ted Golos at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This project is multidisciplinary, interfacing with collaborators in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Medical Physics/Radiology implementing MRI to study uterine and placental blood flow, developing models of fetal growth restriction and maternal-fetal immunology in pregnant nonhuman primates.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in biological, medical or animal sciences.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

3+ years postdoctoral research in biological sciences. Solid background desired in pregnancy and reproductive sciences; experience in reproductive immunology would be highly beneficial. Desirable technical skills include primary cell isolation from tissues, histological analyses by IHC and ISH, flow cytometry and immune cell isolation and analyses, bioinformatics and RNAseq analyses.

Additional Information:

Demonstrated ability in publishing in peer-reviewed journals is essential. Previous experience in the NIH grant application and ability to submit grants independently highly desirable. Experience supervising students and research staff and good communication (written and verbal) skills are also expected. Successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment.
