Coordinate furniture projects with SLCC Interior Designers, SLCC Warehousing, SLCC Utilities, and SLCC Surplus by locating needed furniture parts and pieces in the warehouse for reuse on campus. Up to 125 hours a month. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Track and coordinate the College furniture inventory by creating an inventory data base, keep the data base up to date. Coordinate furniture projects with SLCC Interior Designers, SLCC Warehousing, SLCC Utilities, and SLCC Surplus by locating needed furniture parts and pieces in the warehouse for reuse on campus. Work closely with Interior Designers, Utilities Crew, Warehousing and Surplus Crew, outside furniture vendors. Find and locate available furniture in inventory that can be used for layouts prepared by SLCC Interior Designers. Coordinate furniture repair requests and warranty issues. Coordinate with SLCC Warehousing and Utilities to have the furniture pulled from inventory, delivered and installed. Use the College work order system, review work orders daily regarding furnishings and prioritize work. Complete work orders in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Furniture. Related work experience. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of related, full-time work experience. A valid Utah Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one is required for this position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must have excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Self-starter. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations. Strong organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to twist and bend.
