The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. The primary location of this position is Scaife Hall. This position will function within a laboratory focused on molecular imaging of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases using small animals (primarily rodents).
- Designing, conducting, and analyzing various aspects of molecular imaging projects with a high degree of independence, including cellular and molecular biological experiments, development of relevant animal models of cardiothoracic diseases, radiochemistry and in vivo multimodality imaging
- Supervision of technicians and PhD students within the lab
- Other tasks, as assigned
The qualified candidate should have a PhD and/or MD with experience in cellular/molecular biology, immunology or molecular imaging and a track record of scientific accomplishments, including first-author peer-reviewed publications. Self-motivation, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment are required. Experience in immunology is preferred.
