Other Responsibilities
Minimum Education and Experience

PhD in Biological or Agricultural Engineering, or Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Other Required Qualifications

Demonstrated coursework or experience with: development of hydraulic, sediment transport, and morphodynamic numerical models for simulating the propagation of fine-and course- grained sediment pulses through river networks; formulation of analytical and physics-based quantitative approaches for solving the St. Venant Shallow Water equations under a framework that adapts to clear-water or sediment-laden conditions throughout the computational domain; analysis and modeling of the impact of extreme hydro-morphodynamic events in river networks; development, calibration, and application of hydraulic numerical models for floor inundation mapping and sediment transport characterization of river networks; and conducting hydro-morphodynamic field characterization of riverine systems, including the use of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers for flow velocities and of Echo Sounders for channel bathymetry, as well as the application of volumetric and grid sampling for sediment grain size.
