Job Summary:
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time instructor with a broad background in commerical air conditioning and building automated conrols. The instructor will teach various formats within the air conditioning track includes Hybrid (online) lecture, competency based, and hands on labs. Courses will focus on commerical HVAC and building controls.

Duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities:

The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide instruction in the areas of commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Collaborate with business and industry to maintain an awareness of air conditioning technology and building controls.
  • Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students.
  • Engage in recruitment and retention activities through programming at secondary schools, community partners, and professional organizations; with a concentrated focus on the adult learner population.
  • Participate in faculty professional development activities to include employer sponsored training.

Assignment may include a combination of day, evening, and online classes. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, working with a diverse population, and the community and technical college mission.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Air Conditioning Technology or equivalent experience such as Journeymen License or industry certifications or equivalent industry experience in air conditioning technology, refrigeration fundamentals, and building controls.
