The nationally accredited nursing program within The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at Bronx Community College seeks Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors with a commitment to work effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and staff. Must be available to accept day, evening, or weekend assignments. Assignments will include teaching in the PN and RN Programs.
The general responsibilities of the assistant/ associate/ full professor would include but are not limited to teaching courses in the discipline; curriculum development; advisement and support of students; participation in committees and other governance structures; scholarship in the discipline and/or teaching and learning; and performance of administrative, supervisory, and other functions as assigned.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
Master's in Nursing required. Candidates licensed as an RN in any state of the United States for a minimum of two years are welcome to apply with the understanding that they must have attained their New York state licensure at the time of hire. Currently holds a license in good standing in the state of New York. Ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution and the department. Experience with the integration of technology in teaching is desired. Experience with online teaching and a demonstrated experience with online learning. Experience with curriculum and course development for a nursing program, Ability to communicate effectively with students for advisement and mentoring.
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, and staff. Commitment to advance the success of the registered and practical nursing programs.
Earned doctorate or doctoral candidate in area of expertise or equivalent. Minimum of two years of teaching experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, and Mental Health Nursing. Experience teaching in an Associate Degree Nursing Program and/or Practical Nursing Program. Experience with program assessment and accreditation coordination. Knowledgeable in the ACEN accreditation process.

Associate Professor: $63,874 - $98,056
Professor: $79,040 - $117,466
