Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.
Adjunct Faculty: Veterinary Technology Department
Instructor to teach Clinical Methods II Lab (VETN 210G).
The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and to teach two 3-hour labs each week. The lab will include instruction in surgery, anesthesia and dentistry as it relates to veterinary technology. The instructor will work with the primary instructor for the course to plan the schedule and content of the labs. The instructor will participate in training for essential skill assessment of students following standardized criteria. The instructor must be a licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program.
Pay Rate is $679 - $836 per credit. The credit rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
Clinical Adjunct Faculty:
Pay Rate is $46.05 - $57.17 per clinical contact hour. The rate per clinical contact hour will be determined by the clinical adjunct level, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for your position are as follows:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Veterinary Medicine/Technology awarded by an AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) accredited program.
Experience: Six (6) years teaching experience in veterinary science/technology and/or six years industry experience as a credentialed CVT, LVT, or RVT (Certified, Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician) or as a licensed Veterinarian in a small or mixed animal veterinary hospital.
Licensure: The instructor must be a credentialed veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program, or a licensed veterinarian.
