This is an open-track, non-tenure, academic appointment in the Department of Pharmacology (http://uthscsa.edu/Pharmacology/) with possible joint appointments in other departments based on similar multi-disciplinary research missions. We seek an outstanding early-career investigator with at least three years of experience in preclinical behavioral research to join an established and vibrant research program. This position will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to expand their research skills in collaboration with well-funded, successful investigators studying substance use disorders. The applicant must hold a Ph.D., M.D., D.D.S., or equivalent degree. Rank will be determined based on experience and achievements. The successful candidate will mentor students and/or postdoctoral fellows. The Department of Pharmacology faculty are highly collaborative and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborative investigations are available. We are committed to a culturally diverse faculty.
