Technical & Industrial Adjuct Instructor Pool
Position: Status: Adjunct Instructors-T&I Part-time/Hourly Ongoing
Department: Academic Affairs-Technical & Industrial
Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) is seeking qualified professionals who enjoy teaching or sharing their expert knowledge to serve as an adjunct instructor in the following areas of the College. Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an instructor pool.

• Air Conditioning Technology
• Electrical Line Worker
• Forestry Technology
• Electronics Technology
• Industrial Systems Technology
Duties:
• Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction diploma level courses
• Develops program and course outlines, goals, and objectives
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives
• Participates in the annual planning and budgeting process
• Develops an appropriate staff development plan to maintain knowledge and skills for courses being taught
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports
• Assists with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
• Requests and maintains supplies and equipment
• Maintains program certification requirements, if required
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements vary by course subject. Most work is typically performed in a classroom setting with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Instructors occasionally lift or move light to medium weight objects up to 25 pounds. Instructors must have the ability to speak clearly, hear and understand at a normal conversational level. Hand and finger motion are required for data entry purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Applicant should have a minimum of a diploma in the applicable field listed or at least 5 years of experience in field or closely related field.
• Have at least three years of full-time paid work experience within the past seven years in education is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary:
$22 - $25/per hour. Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Positions are appointed on a course-by-course basis. Flat rate installments are compensated per course.
