Advertised Job Summary |
Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to a research project funded by U.S. Department of energy on solid oxide fuel cells materials and testing. Duties are to (1) synthesize and characterized materials for solid oxide electrolyzers through solid state reaction, wet chemistry, and electrochemical, microscopic and chemical analytical methods; (2) evaluate cell performance including H2 production rate, efficiency, polarization resistance via electrochemical methods; (3) simulate and perform computational modeling on interfacial charge transfer and bulk mass transport using multiphysics modeling tool; (4) assists PI with supervising graduate and undergraduate students in materials synthesis and characterization; (5) prepare quarterly reports to fulfill the project requirements; (6) write scholarly scientific manuscripts to disseminate research results.
