Summary
This grant funded position is to support the work on the Automotive Research Center grant entitled: In-the-wild Question Answering: Toward Natural Human-Autonomy Interaction.
Responsibilities*
- Collect multimodal (thermal, visual, acoustic, physiological) data
- Annotate thermal and visual videos
- Help with data analysis and processing
- Attend bi-weekly project meetings
- Prepare articles, reports, and presentations
- Manage and respond to project related emails
Required Qualifications*
- Must be a current undergraduate UM-Flint student
- Must have experience with extracting statistical data (minimum, maximum, average value of regions of interest [ROI] from thermal videos
- Must have experience with using FLIR's Tools Thermal Analysis package
- Must have experience with using Amazon Mechanical Turk
- The candidate should have a strong interest in thermal sciences and autonomous driving vehicles (having taken previous classes in this discipline is not a must but a big plus) and possess good hands-on skills and experience in data processing using Excel and or other similar software.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience with Matlab for data processing is a plus.
